If you dont have rice white vinegar or white wine vinegar can you use normal white vinegar? Why do you have to add vinegar to the rice, is this to preserve?

Came across this whilst looking for an interesting recipe for my 11 year old daughter to do during her food tech lesson (free choice). She is not keen on nori so this was a great alternative. She made some yesterday evening as a practice and they were amazing. Fingers crossed all goes to plan today.

I had some of these rice papers in my pantry so I just made some regular instant rice and mixed with a little vinegar. Then sliced up some avocado and then put some claw crab meat on top of that. They actually turned out pretty good but I am going to get some quality ingredients and give it a go for my remaining papers. Thanks for the instructions though. I can only get better at it from here!

I made this for my cousin who’s is mildly allergic to seaweed (Nori) and I hope he likes it! He loves sushi but cant have the seaweed so I’m glad to have this alternative! Thanks!

I have rice paper for when we have spring rolls but I never thought to use them for sushi rolls. What a great idea! I think these would be great with shrimp. Can’t wait to try them.

I am a big fan of Nori seaweed so I LOVE this idea with rice paper wrappers. Definitely trying it out soon!
