Hi Octavia. Use any type of apples you like or have on hand. Apples are added to balance the flavors, so if you feel the juice is perhaps too sour or the taste of other ingredients is too strong for you, feel free to add more apples.

Hi Courtney. I consider 1 cup a serving size. I usually drink about 1 – 1.5 cup of this juice (so I either have it for 2 days or my partner drinks the rest). For me it’s easier to juice in larger quantities so I have some leftover juice for the following day to enjoy). If you don’t want to make so much, half the recipe and you should get about 1.5 cup. Hope this helps.

Yes, you are right, Emma. 4 large apples have about 80 g of sugar. Kale and celery are very low in sugar (almost none). Now the nutritional values are just a guidance but after double-checking them, I don’t see anything wrong with them. If you want to reduce that number or are worried that it is too high, choosing green apples is a great way to reduce the amount of sugar in your juice a bit.

Tara, I guess if you have a powerful blender, then you probably can. However, the final result will more likely be completely different. I am guessing it will be thicker – more like a smoothie. You probably should add some liquid – maybe an apple juice or water.

The more ingredients you add the higher the vitamin boost so it’s great that you experimented and added more to this juice. Thanks for commenting and rating.
