To say I was leery about this combination would be the understatement of the year. How can these 2 flavors meld? But it tried it and thought the beet, watermelon and lemon combination was incredible. Thank you!

Absolutely beautiful juice, what a color! it definitely needed some citrus to lift its earthiness. I added half a lime and that did the trick immediately.

In reply to Lisa. You can use a blender for the watermelon, but I would not use it for the beets. Maybe if you cooked them first. I made some juices with cooked beets as well. But I still process them in a juicer. However, if you just strained it, you should be fine.

Man, I don’t care for beets but this drink looks amazing.
First of all, I love your color scheme for this post, the background really makes the red color of the beverages pop. Soooo, pretty.
Second, even though I don’t care for beets, this recipe makes me want to try them again.
Beets are like sushi right? An inquired taste? I figure if I keep trying them, eventually I’ll love them.

I don’t have a juicer – there’s only so much room in my pantry… do you have another way to juice? I was thinking blending in the blender or cuisinart and straining.
