HI just a brit sticking his nose in no milk or butter .fried onions . leave to go cold then add beaten egg .Then fry to reheat .Just wait for a crust to form then turn over . This can be made the day before and served up as and when people get home or great for a quick turn round . P.S. serve with baked beans

Thank you for this recipe! My dad used to make this for me and my brother when we were younger but I couldn’t find a recipe like this one, the ones I found were just chopped up chunks but not properly mashed, so this took a while to find, but now I have the perfect recipe! It looks so lovely, can’t wait to eat this later :)

Well, you learn something new every day. I never knew the stuff in the can was considered British and the actual brisket was considered North American. This is an interesting recipe. I am anxious to try it!

I love corned beef with potatoes so definitely like this idea. Being more familiar with the US version, I was thinking this would be a great way to use leftover corned beef that I cook up.
