Hi Angelika. Well, you might try using ricotta or perhaps sour cream – it will not taste the same but it could do. If you choose one of these alternatives, it is probably better to serve it in a glass as it might not hold its shape well. Ladyfingers – hm, do you have something similar to Nilla Waffers? Hope this helps.

What could I substitute mascarpone and ladyfingers with. I live in Puerto Rico and those items are not be found. But I do have a huge mango tree

Hi . I make this but differently. Soak the lady finger cookies in mango juice and top with mango sliced this and rolled like cigars. Try it
