Welcome! We are Julia and Siim, a couple that loves easy, quick and homemade recipes from around the world.
Coming from different European countries, we often have different taste, opinions and ideas and this diversity can easily be seen in our recipes. We like a bit of everything, whether it’s sweet or savory, raw or paleo, vegetarian or Chinese it doesn’t matter as long as it’s easy, homemade and tastes good.
When we don’t cook, we travel, taste local cuisines and take a ton of travel/food photos. We recently started a travel blog: Travel Infused Life – where we share our tips, experiences and advice on countries we visited.
While we both of us have experience working in the food industry: Siim working as a chef and I (Julia) working in bakery, we learn new things every day. In fact, there is so much to learn when it comes to baking, cooking, but also picture taking and video making.
I don’t know about you but I find the world of cooking and baking amazing! There are so many possibilities when it comes to flavors, ingredients or presentation! There are no limits (apart from money, that is) and you don’t need much to start.
Creating new recipes and improvising in the kitchen is what I like the most. I have learned from my own experience that improvising in cooking is way easier than doing the same in baking. There have been a few (OK, more than a few) failed cakes and cookies in our kitchen but these little failures have not stopped me so far and I am still experimenting as much as I can because I just like it. I love turning old recipes into something new especially when the final result is well worth it!

1. Italian cuisine is my favorite one and if I could I would probably be living in Italy doing nothing but traveling the country and tasting their delicious dishes (OK and blogging about it).
2. Even though Italian cuisine is my favorite I have been strongly influenced by Slovakian cuisine (my native), also Czech, Estonian (that’s where Siim comes from) & Irish (where I spent a good few years of my life).
3. I LOOOVE hot chocolate!
4. Siim is in charge of the technical part of our food blog (Thank Goodness for that!)
5. If he could he would probably be traveling the world all his life tasting every dish that is out there!
