This is an easy recipe for tahini-free avocado hummus. Ready in 5 minutes this nutritious dip can be enjoyed with pita bread, vegetables or toasted French baguette!

Ingredients
1.5cupscooked chickpeas, drained (260 grams)
3tablespoonsextra virgin olive oil
1avocado, ripe (medium)
1lemon, juice only (about 3 tablespoons)
1garlic clove
salt, to taste
black pepper, to taste
ground cumin, a pinch
Prevent your screen from going dark
Instructions
Process the chickpeas together with olive oil until smooth.
Add avocado, lemon juice, pressed garlic, a generous pinch of salt, pepper and ground cumin. Process until well combined.
Taste and add more seasoning, if needed.
Notes
This recipe can be adjusted to your liking.
Garlic and cumin can be omitted completely.
Extra virgin olive oil is the best choice here but if you don’t have it, regular olive oil will do as well. Do not use sunflower nor vegetable oil!
This recipe should feed at least 6 people when served as a dip.
