In this video you can learn how to make fondant numbers. I used a few different techniques so you can choose which one you prefer.
There are many ways how to make numbers out of fondant. You can buy number cutters or moulds but these can be expensive and also you are limited by their size. So why not try to do it yourself! Just remember some of the numbers need to be done several days ahead in order for them to set!

Tools used in this video:

- Toothpicks
- Round Cookie Cutters
- Round Fluted Cookie Cutters
- Tiny flower Plunge Cutters
- Bone/Ball Tool
- Paint Brush
- Rolling Pin
Others:
- Fondant (Black, White, Baby Blue & Pink)
- Icing Sugar
- Water
Notes & Tips:
For the larger numbers you will need to use longer and thicker skewers to make sure it will support the numbers. For some I used flat Teppo Gushi type of skewers (these are used for burgers).
Always make sure to use clean paint brush that has been previously used when making cakes.
If you go to a shop that sells baking/cake decorating products you will find there special fondant glue. However, in my opinion buying this is just waste of money. You will be absolutely fine with water. Alternatively you can mix water with icing sugar. I use water most of the time.
Substitutions:
Paint Brush
If you don’t have one, use your fingers or a piece of a paper kitchen towel. Just make sure not to wet the fondant too much. Less is more here.
Icing Sugar
Corn Flour can be used instead of icing sugar to dust your work top.
Tiny flower Plunge Cutters
You can use small heart cutter or other cool tiny cutters you might have.
